Community Association Land Development

ca-landThe City of Calgary has placed on reserve on a 6 acre parcel of land on 26th Avenue between 77 Street and 69 Street for the SBHCA to develop and use to benefit the community. This is a significant project for the SBHCA and we are excited to work with the City and all of the community members to identify how to best develop this property for the benefit of all residences in Springbank Hill.

In the fall of 2015, the SBHCA worked closely with the City of Calgary to host two open houses to solicit your feedback on what is most important to you in a community. As part of the Open Houses, the SBHCA talked to many of you about the land project. In addition, the SBHCA also undertook an online survey to solicit your input.community land project

We are currently completing the detailed design and scope of work documents and our revised plan is to initiate construction in 2018. The scope of the project will be dependent on the amount of funding available. While we have been successful in raising funds totalling $500,000 we continue to seek additional funds primarily through municipal grants so that we can complete the entire project in 2018.
