Springbank Hill Community Park Construction Update

Jul 10th, 2018 | By | Category: SBHCA News

Hello Springbank Hill Community Association Members and Residents,

The Springbank Hill Community Park Planning Committees of the Springbank Hill Community Association (SBHCA) is very excited to announce the initiation of construction of the Springbank Hill Community Park (the ‘Park’) within the month.

The Park’s progress stems from the hard work and dedication of volunteers, SBHCA, City of Calgary administration and our Councillors. SBHCA has had the pleasure to work with the neighbours of the Park, the Springbank Hill Community in general, and the City to identify what can be developed in the Park and what the community needs and wants in the area. After years of consultation, the Park is a great blend of maintaining natural features while creating enhancements to sustain the Park and attract and entice people to use their Park.

Fundraising for the Park has been ongoing for the last five years, but the vision and idea for a Park in this area has been developing almost since the beginning of the SBHCA.

Please accept this notice that construction activities will be commencing in the Park within a month and are expected to last 2 months. The hours of construction may occur from 7 am to 7 pm weekdays and 7 am to 3 pm Saturdays. Efforts will be made to keep most activity between 9 am and 5 pm. However, general construction noises will occur during the construction period.

Should you have any questions or comments please contact Neil Guay, member of the Park Planning Committee at 403-861-0575.

Thank you,

Riaz Jiwani
