2020 SBHCA Soccer/ T-Ball Program This program is an introduction to soccer for children 4-6 years old ▪ Regular registration is open from February 1, 2020– April 11, 2020.  Soccer only program is $80, and the Soccer plus Tball program is $105 per registrant. ▪ Late registration will be accepted April 12, 2020 – April 19, 2020 with a $25 late fee. ▪ Registration closes: April 19, 2020 ▪ Registration requires a valid SBHCA membership that must be purchased prior to registering ($25). ▪ Season will run every Saturday, excluding May 16 Victoria Day long weekend, from April 25, 2020 to June 20, 2020. ▪ T-ball is optional for all soccer registrants ▪ Picture Day: TBA, (likely May 30th) ▪ Year End Party: June 20, 2020 (Bouncy Castle, games, snacks etc.) ▪ All events will be on Springborough Field, corner of Springborough Blvd and 26th Ave at Griffith Woods School. ▪ Saturday: Soccer 10:00am to 11:00am and T-ball 11:05am to 11:35am Please read the full outline below before registration. SBHCA soccer/ t-ball is a program based on kids having fun, and developing skills for future growth in either of the two sports programs. SBHCA soccer/t-ball is for 4-6 year old children, in a mixed format. Children outside of that age range can be considered on a case-by-case basis and we encourage parents to contact the league coordinator at recreation@springbankhill.org in advance to confirm the criteria for allowing under-age or over-age players. The program is expected to begin on April 25, 2020, and will run until June 20, 2020. The program runs on Saturday mornings, beginning at 10am on the Springborough fields, on the corner of 26 Ave SW and Springborough Blvd at Griffith Woods School. Soccer will run from 10-11am, with a mid-time break for snack.  T-ball will begin right after soccer at the ball diamond on the other end of the park.  It will run until 11:35am.  The t-ball program is optional, and parents can decide on whether to enroll their child, at the time of registration. Parents are expected to remain at the field for the duration of the program. Parents are asked to participate in the skills development drills, and should be dressed appropriately. All participants must have a valid, current community association membership. This must be purchased before you are able to register for the program. In the event of a participant withdrawal, there will be no refund of registration fees after April 19th. A $50 uniform deposit cheque (or cash) will be required prior to receiving a uniform, returnable at the end of the season, upon return of the uniform. Each participant will receive an 8×10 photo sheet including a individual player photo with a team photo. Each participant will also receive their own soccer ball to keep, which they are expected to bring to the weekly event. Special requests to play with siblings, neighbours or friends will be considered, however we ask that you limit requests to one per participant. Not all requests can be accommodated, and rosters will be based on the availability of volunteer coaching. Snacks are provided by parents on each team, a snack coordinator will be designated on each team to manage that schedule. Rain-outs may occur. SBHCA will make every effort to inform parents of cancellations, with as much advance notice as possible. There is typically no make-up date scheduled for rain-outs, and no refund of registration fees will be provided. You can register for the program here.
